I'm just bewildered by the USDA and their decisions regarding mad cow and beef in general. They are so upset that other countries are banning U.S. beef, especially if there is another positive. And for good reason! The U.S. has nothing but words to assure other foreign countries; "the beef is safe," they say. But is it? They aren't comprehensively testing flocks, there is no tracking system to determine the origin of one package of steak to another. Why would a foreign country want to endanger their people with possibly tainted beef? Especially if the seller is not willing to make any changes? Its just bewildering to me that Americans are upset about this.

Frankly, I'm shocked the USDA doesn't care enough about the U.S. people and their health to ensure the testing is done thoroughly and correctly.

What is up with the quality of food in America? Meats in Europe are not as filled with additives and other chemicals. Its terrible.
